It was great at version 1.6 (I know.I still use it). If RMX were any kind of ongoing concern, I'd have imagined them at least dragging it out of the Atmosphere/Trilogy era.Īs for Omni being great? Of course. But I don't see length of no update as a sign that they must be working on that next. Now if they could finally update Stylus RMX.Ĭlick to expand. You might be right. Now without a 2 week marketing blitz or hype of any kind Spectrasonics quietly releases MT2 with tons of new presets at no cost to Omni-Moog customers. Spectrasonics gives customers an amazing soundset for Omnisphere,a really nice collection from numerous artists and synth wizards at a very reasonable price. With that being said the Moog Tribute Library version 1 was & is awesome besides supporting the Moog Foundation. Instead Spectrasonics gives it to customers for FREE.īuy Trillian to use with Omni and they throw in Trillian Creative for free & again most companies would charge customers for this soundset, not Spectrasonics. Purchase Keyscape to use with Omni and Spectra throws in Keyscape Creative, most companies would milk it for what its worth and charge $99 for Creative (they have a captive audience) Most companies would have already packaged this as Omnisphere 3 a year or two ago and charged people for a new version. Often people looking at Omni or something else in the product line balk at the initial price.Īs a customer I can honestly say the difference between Omni2 from the day it was released & now is astounding! & it hasn’t cost me a penny. The extensive free updates Spectrasonics routinely performs on products is often an overlooked benefit Spectrasonics extends to customers. I measure every developer probably unfairly comparatively against Spectrasonics and U-he both of these companies have great support, they continually update products and are extremely generous with free or low cost updates for customers. Click to expand.Yeah Spectrasonics is a great company!
